    In Japan, the Schnitzel is a flattened piece of pork, coated in flour.  It is known as Tonkatsu It is dipped in beaten eggs and coated with panko crumbs. Then it is deep-fried. Moreover, it is served with ramen, curry, and rice.

    United Kingdom

    In UK the Schnitzel js known as Parmo. It can be referred to as a breaded chicken or a pork cutlet. It is dipped in white sauce and served with cheddar cheese.

    Israel

    In Israel, it is known as Schnitzel only. It is as same as the Austrian Wiener Schnitzel. However, in Israel, they use turkey or chicken breast. Furthermore, they also use seasonings of paprika in the breadcrumbs

    Wiener Schnitzel Recipe

    Let’s see how to prepare this dish. But before that, let’s discuss the ingredients in detail.

    Ingredients

    • 4 veal cutlets 150-180 g
    • 2 eggs
    • Flour approx 100 g
    • Salt
    • pepper
    • Butter
    • Plant oil
    • Lemon slices for garnishing

    Steps to make

    Step 1

    Take out the cutlets. Remove the skin and pound till it gets thin. Season both sides with salt and pepper. Take flour and crumbled bread into separate vessels. Now beat the eggs together.

    Coat each cutlet on both sides in the flour. Furthermore, pass through the beaten eggs. No part of the cutlet should remain dry.

    Now, coat the breadcrumbs and press the crumbs downwards using the reverse side of a fork.

    Step 2

    Now, melt 1-2 tablespoons of butter and plant oil in a large pan. Add the breadcrumbs to the pan until you see bubbles or hisses in the same. After that, fry for 3-5 minutes until it gets golden brown. However, the time may vary depending on the thickness of the meat. Now turn it using a spatula. Fry from the other side until that side also turns brown in color.

    Step 3

    Now take the crispy cutlet out of the pan. Place it on a piece of paper to let it dry. Pat it slowly and carefully. Carefully place the Schnitzel on the plate and garnish it with lemon slices. Now they are ready to serve. Moreover, you can serve them with potato salad, rice, or with mixed salad.

    Cooking time: Usually the cooking time is 5-10 minutes. However, it may vary depending on the thickness of the meat.
